Simple and easy recipes with everyday ingredients.

Ladies, I think I have discovered an error in the bread pudding recipe that I had inquired about earlier. I went to make this and realized there is something wrong!! If you notice below the recipe calls for 1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk and 2 (4.5 oz) of fruit cocktail (I'll use peaches instead). What I have found is that sweetened condensed milk DOES NOT come in 14 oz cans and fruit cocktail/peaches DO NOT come in 4.5 oz cans.....at least not in Kansas! So I am assuming that the recipe SHOULD be 1 (14 oz) can of fruit cocktail/peaches and 2 cans (4.5 oz) of sweetened condensed milk. I double checked the recipe on the Food Network site and I have copied it correctly. I sent an e-mail to the Food Network asking if the recipe was wrong on Paula's website. I have not heard from them. So, if anyone out there has made this --please let me know if in fact this recipe is WRONG and that my assumptions are correct. I really want to try this recipe --with peaches--!!!

Bread Pudding made with Krispy Kreme Donuts
2 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
2 (4.5-ounce) cans fruit cocktail (undrained)
2 eggs, beaten
1 (9-ounce) box raisins
1 pinch salt
1 or 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Butter Rum Sauce, recipe follows Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cube donuts into a large bowl. Pour other ingredients on top of donuts and let soak for a few minutes. Mix all ingredients together until donuts have soaked up the liquid as much as possible.

Bake for about 1 hour until center has jelled. Top with Butter Rum Sauce.

Butter Rum Sauce:
1 stick butter
1 pound box confectioners' sugar
Rum, to taste

Melt butter and slowly stir in confectioners' sugar. Add rum and heat until bubbly. Pour over each serving of Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding.
