BANANA-ORANGE SALAD WITH LEMON DRESSING

SALAD
3 lg. oranges, peeled
2 lg. ripe bananas*
Salad greens
1/3 c. chopped walnuts
3 tbsp. chopped watercress
*Can substitute 1 large ripe avocado in place of banana.
LEMON DRESSING:
1/3 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. each salt, paprika and prepared mustard
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/4 tsp. pepper

Put all lemon dressing ingredients in a 1 cup jar or larger. Seal with a tight fitting lid and shake. Or, mix in a bowl with a rotary beater. Slice oranges in cartwheels. Peel bananas and slice in half lengthwise, then cut in 2 inch pieces. Marinate fruit in dressing at least 30 minutes. Then arrange on a bed of greens and sprinkle with nuts and watercress. Serve with remaining dressing.
